The JV boys delivered a statement performance at the Bronco Relays, stacking points in every corner of the track and field and powering their way to a well-earned 2nd-place team finish. From explosive sprints to clutch distance runs and big-time throws, this squad showed they’re built on depth, toughness, and competitive fire.
The tone was set early in the 100-meter dash, where
DK Jackson blasted through the field to take 1st place, earning 10 points with a sharp 11.89.
James Maiwo added 2 points with a strong 5th-place finish in 12.15.
In the 200-meter dash, the Broncos kept the scoreboard rolling:
Carter Mach grabbed 5th for 2 points with a 24.17,
Noah Lanham followed in 6th, adding 1 point at 24.46.
The mid-distance crew showed grit and consistency.
800m:
Adrian Rentas-Quiles surged to 2nd, scoring 8 points with a 2:15.17.
Brody Mansfield added 1 point for 6th in 2:18.98.
1600m:
Rentas-Quiles returned with another podium finish, taking 3rd for 6 points in 5:07.74.
The Broncos’ biggest punch came in the 3200-meter run, where they nearly swept the top spots.
Kyan Whitmire controlled the race from the front, winning in 11:40.05 for 10 points.
Josiah Briggs followed closely in 2nd, adding 8 points with 11:42.15.
Anthony Garza secured 5th, scoring 2 points in 12:07.13.

Makalyn Harrison delivered in both hurdle events, placing 4th in the 110m hurdles (4 pts, 19.79) and 4th again in the 300m hurdles (4 pts, 46.83).
Both relay squads came through with crucial points:
4x100m Relay – 4th place, earning 12 points with a 45.52.
4x400m Relay – another 4th place, another 12 points, clocking 3:45.77.
These relays were pivotal in securing the team’s runner-up finish.
High Jump:
Caleb Smith soared to 2nd, earning 8 points with a 5-10 clearance.
Long Jump:
Smith returned for 3rd, adding 6 points with an 18-8 jump.
Tyree Jackson chipped in 1 point for 6th at 18-4.

Luke Phillips delivered 6 points with a 3rd-place jump of 38-9.

Chantz Parker added 6 more points with a 3rd-place throw of 37-10.
