The Lady Broncos left no doubt about who rules the track in District 16-5A. Amassing a staggering 213 overall points, the team delivered a masterclass in athleticism, endurance, and speed to definitively capture the District Championship title. From record-breaking sprints to a complete takeover of the distance events, it was a historic day for the Broncos.

The team’s speed was on full display as the record books were rewritten. Bella Garcia blazed through the 200-meter dash, setting a new personal record and a new school record with a lightning-fast time of 25.17. The momentum carried into the relays, where the 4x100-meter team of Kaleileana Cress, Aleya Russell, Nylah Berrian, and Garcia combined forces to set another new school record, crossing the finish line at 47.49 to take silver. Berrian also captured individual gold in the 400-meter dash with a dominant 57.85 finish.

In the distance events, the Lady Broncos were absolutely untouchable. Alexa King proved to be a dual-threat powerhouse, taking home double gold with victories in both the 800-meter run (2:27.82) and the 1600-meter run (5:43.35). The 3200-meter race was a sea of Bronco colors, as the team swept the podium entirely: Keira Dzenowski took first (12:35.97), followed closely by Sarah Gray in second (12:59.11) and Madelyn Rivas in third (13:11.70).

The hurdles and field events provided critical points to secure the runaway victory. Dannika Kelley hit a personal record of 16.59 to win the 100-meter hurdles, while Moriah Rydberg claimed the top spot in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 46.27. In the field, Camryn Mikulas soared to a silver medal in the triple jump with a mark of 36-7.75, backed up by strong scoring performances across the long jump, pole vault, and shot put from the rest of the squad.

With 213 points, multiple new school records, and a roster full of personal bests, the Lady Broncos didn't just win the district—they made a statement. Congratulations to the 16-5A District Champions!
