The Broncos Boys Golf Team finished up another successful season at the 5A-Region II Golf Tournament at Tanglewood Golf Course in Pottsboro. The boys were competing in the regional tournament via winning the District 16 championship.
The boys had a rough first day of the tournament fighting stiff winds in excess of 20 miles per hour. The team total of 355 strokes was the highest of the year, about 35 strokes higher than their average for the 2025/2026 season. That first day ended with Lake Belton in 13th place out of 16 teams. The second day proved to be even windier than the first, but our boys (in true Bronco fashion) never gave in and never gave up! Every one of our golfer improved their scores. Those scores were led by Senior Jackson Null who shaved two strokes off of his first day score posting a 78. Jackson was followed by Senior Miles Parker. His "Never say die" attitude led to an impressive 11 stroke improvement on day two turning in a great score of 76. Senior Gavin Kerr was third on the team, also taking two strokes off his first day score. Gavin's total for the tournament was 182. Next up freshman Carter Johnson (playing in his first ever regional tournament) took nine strokes off of his first day total to post a total of 183 for the event. Senior Brayden Hoff rounded out the team score with a tournament total of 185 swings. Brayden did, however, lead the team in perseverance taking an impressive 15 strokes off of his first day total shooting a nice 85 on day two. Also playing in the tournament, freshman Jacob Sullivan playing in the first medalist slot from district 16 also took five strokes off of his first day score leaving him a tournament total of 207. The boys "fight until the last hole is over" attitude led to the team moving up two spots on the final leaderboard and a bus ride home with their heads held high.
