Incoming freshman Hayes Pethtel dominated a strong field at Delaware Springs Golf Course in the Fore! Challenge golf tournament. The STPGA Prestige Tour tournament played 36 holes in one day due to inclement weather. Hayes finished the two rounds at three under par with a total score of 141 (71/70 ), which included 11 birdies for the day! One of those birdies was a 100 foot putt on the number two handicapped fourth hole! Hayes' wedges and putter won the day as his short game overpowered the field.
Hayes represented the Broncos in stellar fashion with outstanding displays of sportsmanship and mental toughness. We can't wait to tee it up with Hayes in August wearing horseshoes on our hats and golf bags!
