The Lake Belton XC Team faced some tough Austin teams at the Vista Ridge Invitational yesterday. The varsity girls' team was led by sophomore Keira Dzenowski who crossed the line in 55th place. Close behind Keira were Jenna Benedick (73rd), Sarah Gray (75th), Lucy Loa (83rd), and Amara Bodeman (88th). As a team, the varsity girls placed 12th in the invitational.
Senior Wyatt Potts led the varsity boys' team with a 42nd place finish. Tyler Adkins Beltran (90th), Jack McCullagh (96th), Josiah Briggs (107th), and Drew Houston (113th) rounded out the top 5 for the Broncos. The varsity boys finished in 14th place overall in the team standings.
The JV girls were led by senior Abigail Glasser (38th), followed by Shreya Muni (47th), Gracie Hassell (48th), Kimberly Solis Colon (58th), and Avery Reinhardt (61st). The JV girls' team finished in 10th place as a team.
Junior Kyan Whitmire led the JV boys' team with a 45th place finish. Kyan was followed by David McIntyre (119th), Phillip Eggleston (126th), Jackson Reed (137th), and Hank Rykken (138th).
The Bronco will travel to James Wilson Park in Temple next Friday to compete in the Pro-Fit Invitational.
