The Lake Belton Freshman Silver volleyball team showed tremendous resolve, fight, and determination Tuesday night, battling back from a first-set loss to defeat Leander 2-1.

Lake Belton opened the match with a hard-fought first set, falling to Leander 27-25. Despite the narrow loss, the Broncos responded with confidence and energy in the second set.

Lake Belton dominated the second set, earning a convincing 25-13 victory and forcing a deciding third set.

The final set was a battle from start to finish. Both teams continued to fight for every point, but the Broncos came through when it mattered most, securing a 25-23 victory to complete the comeback.

A major spark for Lake Belton came from Ella Phillips, who delivered a strong performance from the service line, stringing together ace after ace and putting pressure on the Leander defense.

Defensively, Harper Guenat was a force throughout the match. Guenat made several key defensive plays and was especially dominant at the net, helping the Broncos stay in the match during critical moments.

The victory was a true team effort, but more importantly, it demonstrated the character of the Freshman Silver squad. After coming up just short in the opening set, the Broncos refused to let the momentum slip away.
