The Lake Belton Broncos opened the 2026 football season with a hard-fought defensive battle against Vista Ridge, ultimately falling 12-6 in a game that came down to the final minutes.

Both teams battled throughout the night, with the Broncos’ defense keeping Lake Belton within striking distance. The physical contest featured big defensive plays and plenty of toughness from both sides, as points were hard to come by.

Despite the loss, the Broncos showed plenty of fight and competed until the final whistle. The experience gained from a tough season opener will be something the team can build on moving forward.
