The Lake Belton Cross Country Team traveled to the HOT Soccer Complex in Waco to compete in the Kiwanis Midway Invitational. The varsity girls were led by sophomore Keira Dzenowski who was the individual meet champion for the 3 mile course. Also scoring for the Lady Broncos were Demi Fisher (11th), Sarah Gray (12th), Sophia Garza (16th), and Mady Rivas (17th). As a team, the varsity girls finished 1st out of 8 teams. Senior Wyatt Potts finished in 7th place as he led the varsity boys to a 3rd place team finish. Wyatt was joined by teammates Jack McCullagh (9th), Josiah Briggs (12th), Drew Houston (13th), and Cooper Schels (30th). The JV girls captured the team title and were led by senior Abby Glasser who finished in 3rd place individually. Shreya Muni (4th), Kimberly Solis Colon (6th), Gracie Hassell (7th), and Sage Anderson (8th) rounded out the top 5 for the JV girls.
The girls' and boys' JV teams will travel to Tenroc Ranch next Thursday to compete in the Salado Invitational while the varsity teams will compete on Friday in Fort Worth at the Regional Preview Meet.
