The Lake Belton Silver volleyball team delivered a dominant performance at the Belton ISD Sub-Varsity Showdown, going undefeated on their way to capturing the tournament championship.

The Broncos set the tone early in pool play, sweeping through their schedule without dropping a single set. Lake Belton earned decisive two-set victories against Belton Red, Jarrell, and Temple to advance cleanly into bracket play.

The team made tournament history during bracket play in a rematch against Jarrell. Opening the first set at the service line, Ava Cavazos delivered an unforgettable, flawless serving performance. Cavazos served 25 consecutive points—never giving up the ball—to lead the Broncos to an unbelievable 25-0 set win, setting the pace for another two-set sweep. All players contributed to this run with great defense, great setting and on target swings.

In the championship match, Lake Belton faced off against a tough Midway squad. Fighting through a back-and-forth battle, the Broncos prevailed in three sets to seal the tournament title.

Every player contributed in the championship game, with the team’s service game proving to be the ultimate difference-maker as Lake Belton racked up 19 aces across the tournament.
