The Lake Belton Varsity Cross Country Team competed in the Region II Preview Meet this morning in Fort Worth. The Lady Broncos were led by sophomore Keira Dzenowski who crossed the line in 14th place individually. Demi Fisher (30th), Sarah Gray (32nd), Mady Rivas (34th), and Elizabeth Sandlin (35th) rounded out the top 5 for Lake Belton. The girls' team finished in 6th place in the competitive 5-6A race.
On the boys side, senior Wyatt Potts finished in 15th place while breaking the 5K school record with a time of 17:08. Also scoring for the Broncos were Drew Houston (26th), Tyler Adkins Beltran (29th), Josiah Briggs (31st), and Jack McCullagh (34th). The boys' team also finished in 6th place in the 5-6A race.
Lake Belton will travel to Round Rock next Saturday to compete in the Hoka Invitational.
