The Lake Belton Cross Country Team traveled to Round Rock to compete in the Hoka McNeil Invitational this morning. The Lady Broncos faced some stiff competition and were among 34 teams in the 6A division running on the state course. Senior Mady Rivas was the first Lake Belton runner to cross the line in 41st place. Lucy Loa (79th), Elizabeth Sandlin (87th), Sarah Gray (106th), and Keira Dzenowski (115th) rounded out the top five for the Broncos. As a team, the Lady Broncos finished in 9th place.
The boys were led by senior Wyatt Potts who placed 48th individually. Drew Houston (147th), Josiah Briggs (148th), Austin Adams (153rd), and Cooper Schels (194th) were the top five for the boys. Out of 46 teams, the boys finished in 22nd place in the 6A division.
The team will travel to Mansfield next Friday to compete in the Mansfield Maberry Invitational.
