The Lake Belton Broncos opened District 12-6A Friday night against the Waco Midway Panthers, but the Broncos came up on the short end of a 58-22 final.

Lake Belton battled throughout the night against a talented Midway squad, the Panthers were able to build momentum and pull away as the game progressed. Despite the difficult night, the Broncos continued to compete and fight through the final whistle.

The loss marks the Broncos’ first district setback of the season, but with district play just beginning, there is still plenty of football ahead.

Lake Belton will use Friday night’s game as an opportunity to learn, make adjustments and get back to work. The Broncos know that every district game brings another opportunity to respond, and they will turn their attention toward the next challenge.

The road through District 12-6A is officially underway, and the Broncos will look to bounce back and continue fighting for the remainder of the season.

Their next game is against Harker Heights at Leo Buckley Thursday October 1st at 7PM.
