The Broncos hosted the Bryan High School Vikings on Tuesday night in the final match of the first round of district play. The evening began with a special tribute honoring the team’s senior athletes and their families.
Fueled by the energy of the celebration, the Broncos came out strong and quickly took control of the opening set, securing a 25-16 victory. The Broncos continued their momentum in the second set, outlasting the Vikings 25-20.

Bryan responded in the third set, narrowly edging the Broncos 25-22. Determined to close out the match, the Broncos came back with a strong performance in the fourth set. Tough serving and consistent play helped the team finish the set 25-14 and secure the match victory.
Junior Gracie Lott led the Broncos’ offensive attack with 14 kills. Ava Wood also reached double digits with 10 kills, while Madilyn Jackman added seven.

Defensively, Kruz Smith and Taylan Cole each recorded 18 digs, followed closely by Kamryn Daniels with 17. Daniels also led the team in assists with 25.

The Broncos’ serving was another key factor in the victory. Smith recorded four aces, Daniels added three, and Haylee Kasner contributed two.

With strong contributions across the court, the Broncos closed out the first round of district play with a hard-fought victory over the Vikings. The Broncos will begin their second round of play on Friday night as they travel to Harker Heights.
