Our team closed out district play in resounding fashion last night with a dominant 19-0 victory against Copperas Cove. The sweep pushed our district record to a stellar 5-1, bringing our overall season tally to 13-4.

While the final score line suggests smooth sailing, the victory was earned through gritty performances in several hard-fought tight spots, as Cove refused to go down without a fight. Multiple courts came down to nail-biting third-set super tie-breakers, showcasing our team's mental toughness when the pressure was on.

Clutch Performances in the Super Tie-Breaks
In doubles action, the pairs of Brianna Dubrocq / Sonia Padmanabhan and Addie Kruppa / Eliana Cavazos both weathered strong mid-match surges from their opponents to pull out key points:

Dubrocq & Padmanabhan controlled the opening set 6-1 before dropping a tight second-set tiebreak 6-7 (3-7). Regrouping instantly, they dominated the deciding match tie-breaker 10-2.

Kruppa & Cavazos traded sets 6-2, 3-6 before locking in down the stretch to claim their super tie-break 10-1.

The endurance test continued into singles play, where Dubrocq and Kruppa once again dug deep:

Brianna Dubrocq turned her match around after a slow start, rallying from a 1-4 opening set to storm back 4-0 in the second, then slamming the door shut with a 10-1 super tie-break finish.

Addie Kruppa battled through the longest match of the night. After dropping a tight first set 5-7 and suffering a heartbreaking second-set tiebreak loss 6-7 (6-8), she reset her focus and captured the decider 10-5 to secure the complete team sweep.
