Lake Belton Broncos Shine at BISD Invitational

The Lake Belton Broncos had a strong showing on Saturday, October 3, at the 2026 BISD Fall Invitational, competing against teams from across Central Texas. The Broncos put together an impressive day of racing, with the Lake Belton girls taking 1st place overall with 288 points and the boys finishing 8th with 122 points.

The girls team was led by several outstanding individual performances. Jentry Ferguson added two individual wins, taking the 200-yard IM in 2:17.71, breaking the previous school record, and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.65.

The Broncos' girls continued their dominance in the relays. The team of Clark, Voss, Ferguson, and Webb won both the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:50.95 and the 400-yard freestyle relay in 4:04.17, earning 40 points in each event.

On the boys' side, Conner Florea had an outstanding meet, winning the 100-yard backstroke in 59.98 while also contributing to Lake Belton's 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Broncos' boys also received strong swims from Mehul Bansal, Ignacio Rodriguez-Guadalupe, and the rest of the team as they battled throughout the meet. The boys' 400-yard freestyle relay team of Hepworth, Florea, Bansal, and Rodriguez-Guadalupe** finished fourth in 4:10.17.

Overall, it was a successful day for the Lake Belton Broncos, highlighted by four individual event victories, two girls relay victories, and a first-place team finish for the girls. The team showed great competitiveness, and teamwork throughout the invitational.
