FRESHMAN RED VOLLEYBALL BATTLES GEORGETOWN

Freshman Red Volleyball Battles Georgetown

RENALDO ELLIS

Lake Belton | 10/7/2026

The Lake Belton Freshman Red volleyball team battled Georgetown but fell in two sets, 25–16 and 25–14.

Despite the final score, there were several positives to take away from the match. Karina Carranza was extremely consistent offensively, finishing with kills on approximately 80% of her swings. Her ability to attack with confidence gave the Broncos a strong presence at the net.

Defensively, Maddie Ortiz showed tremendous resilience. After an early struggle, Ortiz dug deep and turned into a monster on defense, chasing down ball after ball and refusing to let plays end easily.

The Broncos will look to build from the positives, continue making adjustments, and keep taking steps forward as they move through district play.
