The Lake Belton Freshman Silver volleyball team continued to make strides with a strong two-set victory over Chaparral, winning 25–13 and 25–17. From the opening serve, the Broncos established control of the match and continued to build momentum throughout both sets.
A big part of Lake Belton’s success came from the service line. Genesis Johnson, Addie Bossen, and Ella Phillips each turned in strong serving performances, recording multiple aces throughout the match. Their ability to put pressure on Chaparral with tough, consistent serves created opportunities for the Broncos to gain momentum and extend their leads.
Bossen also made an impact offensively at the net. She attacked aggressively and showed confidence when given opportunities, recording kills on 4 of her 5 attack attempts. Her ability to finish at the net gave the Broncos another weapon offensively and helped keep Chaparral's defense on its heels.
While the serving and attacking stood out, the defensive effort from the entire team was just as important. The Broncos consistently kept rallies alive with strong digs and great defensive hustle, refusing to let difficult balls hit the floor. Multiple players stepped up to make plays, showing the kind of communication and teamwork needed to win extended rallies.
Lake Belton maintained its composure and continued to execute as the match progressed. The Broncos' combination of aggressive serving, efficient attacking, and relentless defense allowed them to finish both sets strong.
