The Lake Belton High School girls basketball team wrapped up its preseason showcase schedule at the “Waco Business” Showcase, hosted by Incoming Network for Women at La Vega High School.
The Lady Broncos competed in two games, finishing the day 1-1 while gaining valuable experience and continuing to build chemistry ahead of the upcoming basketball season.
In their first matchup, Lake Belton faced a competitive Shoemaker team, falling 54-42. Despite the loss, the game provided an opportunity for the Lady Broncos to identify areas for improvement and continue developing as a team.
Lake Belton bounced back in its second matchup against Waco University, earning a hard-fought 34-28 victory. The win was a positive way to close out the preseason showcase schedule and demonstrated the team's ability to respond to adversity.
Throughout the preseason, the Lady Broncos have focused on building confidence, improving team chemistry, and developing the habits necessary to compete at a high level. Each showcase has provided valuable opportunities for growth, allowing the team to learn from both its successes and challenges.
The Lady Broncos would like to thank Incoming Network for Women for hosting a great event and providing these young athletes with an opportunity to compete, grow, and showcase their talents.
With preseason showcases officially behind them, the Lady Broncos are excited to take the next step toward the 2026-2027 basketball season!
Up Next: Lake Belton will host its first in-season scrimmage on October 31 at Lake Belton High School.
The Lady Broncos look forward to an exciting season and can't wait to get back on the court in front of their home crowd!
