The Lake Belton JV Lady Broncos opened their season on a high note, picking up a 41-32 victory over Leander Glenn. After working through some early-season nerves, the Broncos settled in and began to showcase the potential this group has as they got comfortable on the court.

Lake Belton looked especially good in transition, using their speed and ability to get up the floor to create scoring opportunities. London Jackson led the way offensively with 14 points, while Elsa Hayes showed confidence and a willingness to let it fly, knocking down multiple three-pointers and providing a spark from the perimeter.

Defensively, the Lady Broncos came up with stops when they needed them most, applying pressure, forcing turnovers, and turning defensive opportunities into chances on the offensive end.

While there is still plenty of basketball ahead and room for growth, Lake Belton walked away with a lot of positives to build on. The energy, teamwork, defensive effort, and offensive flashes were all encouraging signs as the Lady Broncos begin their season.
