The Boys JV basketball team traveled to Midway over the last 2 days to compete in a tournament with teams loaded with talent. On day 1, Lake Belton went up against Copperas Cove in their 1st game of the day. The Broncos were sluggish the entire game, which ended in a 69-39 defeat. The Broncos were able to bounce back in the 2nd game of the day, taking on host Midway. The Broncos played with the effort and energy that people are used to seeing, and with that, the Broncos were able to come out with a 57-52 victory to get them a chance at the Consolation Championship. On Saturday, the Broncos were faced with a familiar district opponent, Belton, which the Broncos have played once this season. The Broncos went back and forth with Belton, but Belton's 16 made 3 pointers were tough to overcome, as the Broncos fell in the Consolation Championship, 65-49.

The Broncos are now 8-3 on the season and are back in action on Tuesday, as they continue on the road traveling to Gatesville to take on the Hornets with tip starting at 5:00.
