The Lake Belton JV Boys Basketball were able to overcome a rough night shooting the ball and get stops late in the game against University High School to open district play 1-0, by beating the Trojans, 57-52. The 1st quarter was a back and forth game with Lake Belton leading 13-10. The Broncos were able to go into halftime up 22-18 after a sloppy half by both teams. The 2nd half was much of the same back and forth between the 2 teams, with University getting up by as many as 6 in the 3rd quarter. The Broncos were able to battle back and outscore University 19-13 to secure the win in the district opener for both teams.
