The Lake Belton JV Boys Basketball team returned to action on Tuesday night after their annual Christmas break. The Broncos went on the road to play district opponent, Waco in their first road game of the district schedule. The Broncos showed no rust with all of the time off jumping out to a commanding 19-4 lead after the 1st quarter. The Broncos kept the intense play in the 2nd quarter, to go into the half with a 29-9 lead. Worried about the intensity coming out of the locker room, Lake Belton put those worries to bed outscoring the Lions in both the 3rd and 4th quarters, to take another district victory back home with them, 57-29.
The Broncos are now 11-4 on the season, with a solid 2-0 start to district play. The Broncos return to action this Friday evening at home against Killeen High School at 5:30.
