The Lake Belton Broncos Boys JV team couldn't complete a 2nd half comeback and lose their 1st home game and 1st district game of the year. The game started out with the Broncos getting hot and playing well together in the 1st quarter, leading 20-16 after the 1st. The 2nd quarter was played at a much slower pace and the visiting Kangaroos cut into the lead, with the Broncos going into the half up 30-29. The 3rd quarter was when the Broncos allowed Killeen to get out to a solid lead for the visiting squad. At the end of the 3rd, the Broncos had battled back to get within 6 points, down 50-44. The Broncos got within 2 points multiple times late in the 4th, but timely mistakes ultimately cost the Broncos their 1st district loss of the season, 73-68.
