Lake Belton High School Girls Basketball Triumphs Over Shoemaker Grey Wolves

In a commanding display of skill and teamwork, the Lake Belton High School girls basketball team secured a convincing victory against the Shoemaker Grey Wolves with a final score of 77-56. From the opening tip-off, Lake Belton set the tone, leading the game from start to finish.

The first quarter witnessed Lake Belton's explosive start, establishing a solid lead with a score of 20-10. The team's defensive prowess and offensive precision were evident as they controlled the game's tempo. As the first half unfolded, Lake Belton continued to dominate, heading into halftime with a comfortable lead of 34-24.

The third quarter saw both teams engaged in a fierce battle, with Shoemaker Grey Wolves striving to narrow the gap. However, Lake Belton remained resilient, entering the fourth quarter with a substantial lead of 57-41. The Broncos' cohesive teamwork and strategic play were key factors in maintaining their advantage.

With this victory, the Lake Belton Broncos improved their district record to an impressive 7-1. The team's success was fueled by outstanding individual performances, particularly from key players. Allie Uzzell showcased her scoring prowess with an impressive 28 points and contributed significantly on the boards with 12 rebounds.

Cassidy Gladney proved to be a force on both ends of the court, recording 22 points, 10 rebounds, and an impressive 8 assists. Her well-rounded performance was instrumental in Lake Belton's triumph. Ella Wagenaar made a significant impact with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals, showcasing her versatility and defensive skills.

During the game, we had the opportunity to recognize our future stars at Lake Belton Middle school. We are excited about the talent that is coming to us in the near future.
