Last night, the Lake Belton Lady Broncos showcased their prowess on the basketball court as they faced off against Killeen High Rood. The game was nothing short of spectacular, with Lake Belton demonstrating their skill and determination from the very first quarter.

Right out of the gate, the Lady Broncos established their dominance, securing a commanding lead with a first-quarter score of 27-10 in our favor. The momentum only grew stronger as we headed into halftime, with the scoreboard reading 37-14, firmly in Lake Belton's favor.

But the Lady Broncos didn't ease up in the second half; if anything, they intensified their efforts. With an impressive third-quarter performance, Lake Belton extended their lead even further, bringing the score to 55-24.

By the time the final buzzer sounded, the victory was unequivocally ours, with the scoreboard showing a resounding 65-38 in favor of Lake Belton. It was a collective effort, but special recognition goes to our standout players who led the charge on the court.

Ella Wagenaar delivered a stellar performance, leading the scores with an impressive 23 points, accompanied by 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Angie Deleon showcased her skills with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Cassidy Gladney contributed 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists, further solidifying Lake Belton's dominance.

Half time wasn't just a break in the action; it was also a moment to celebrate the talent and dedication of our middle school players of the week. Congratulations to Aralina Acosta, Areana Long, Jayden Martin, Soraya Siller, Jenna Solcom, Lucy Loa, McKenna Mees, and Cadence Williams. Your hard work and commitment serve as inspiration for all of us at Lake Belton High School.

Looking ahead, Lake Belton is gearing up for another thrilling matchup, this time against Belton High on February 2. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm, and we're inviting everyone to join us for an evening of excitement and celebration. It's teacher appreciation night, so let's show our gratitude to the educators who shape our minds and futures. Additionally, don't forget to don your white attire as we create a "White out" atmosphere to rally behind our Lady Broncos.

With the spirit of victory and camaraderie driving us forward, Lake Belton High School is ready to continue our winning streak and make our mark on the basketball court. Go Lady Broncos!
