The JV Lake Belton Boys Basketball team finally were able to get a much needed victory over Belton on Friday night. The 2 teams have faced each other 3 times this prior to the game tonight, with Belton winning all 3. The Broncos and Tigers came out in the 1st quarter going back and forth, with Belton leading 9-7 after the 1st. In the 2nd quarter, the Broncos were able to hit some shots, led by freshman, Avery Diaz to go into the half up 23-16. The Broncos have been in the same situation just a few weeks ago, but this time, the Broncos were able to extend their lead in the 3rd quarter, to extend it to a 40-23 lead going into the 4th. The 4th was a back and forth affair with a lot of scoring between the 2 teams, with the final score being in the Broncos favor, 59-44. The team stats for the game were:
