It wasn't just any game, though; it was also a special occasion dedicated to honoring the hard work and dedication of our beloved teachers – Teacher Appreciation Night.

The atmosphere was electric as the game tipped off, with both teams eager to showcase their skills. From the very start, Lake Belton came out strong, dominating the court and asserting their authority. The first quarter saw Lake Belton take a commanding lead with a score of 24-6, setting the tone for the rest of the game.

As halftime approached, Lake Belton maintained their momentum, heading into the break with a comfortable lead of 38-17. The team's cohesion and determination were evident as they worked together to extend their advantage.

The third quarter saw no let-up from Lake Belton, as they continued to build on their lead, ending the quarter with a score of 50-26. With each player giving their all on both ends of the court, the Lady Broncos showcased their skill, teamwork, and resilience.

The final whistle blew, and Lake Belton emerged victorious with a final score of 74-36. It was a well-deserved win for the team, whose hard work and dedication throughout the game paid off in the form of a decisive victory.

Leading the charge for Lake Belton was Cassidy Gladney, whose impressive performance saw her lead the scores with 21 points, alongside 4 steals and 5 assists. Allie Uzzell also made significant contributions with 18 points and 6 rebounds, while Ella Wagenaar showcased her versatility with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. But the victory wasn't the only cause for celebration that night. Teacher Appreciation Night allowed us to express our gratitude to the dedicated educators who shape our lives and inspire us to reach for our goals. Their unwavering support and guidance both on and off the court are invaluable to our success, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do.

With this win, Lake Belton advances to an impressive 11-2 record in district play, a testament to the team's hard work, determination, and unity. As we look ahead to our next game against Chaparral High School on February 6, we carry the momentum of this victory with us, fueled by the support of our dedicated fans and the guidance of our inspirational teachers.

Tip-off is at 7:00 PM, and we invite everyone to join us as we continue our journey towards success, both on the court and in life. Go Lady Broncos!
