The Bronco Baseball Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Fort Worth to participate in the Drew Medford Memorial Tournament. Twenty five teams participated in the tournament from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with Lake Belton being the lone team not from the area. As part of the tournament one player from each team was awarded a $1000 scholarship. Clint Beck was selected as the recipient for Lake Belton. Congratulations to Clint for receiving this honor!

Bad weather greeted the Broncos on the first day of tourney play, as rain fell for the majority of the day and washed out all games on Thursday. Lake was able to return to action on Friday and Saturday, finishing the tournament with a 3-1 record. The team is now 10-4 overall as they finish tournament play and prepare for the first week of district play against the Shoemaker Grey Wolves.

Brandon Holley- 6 shutout innings, 6 strikeouts
Mason Law- 5 innings, 1 run allowed, 9 strikeouts

The Broncos will begin District 22-5A play this week, opening up with the Shoemaker Gray Wolves. Game 1 will mark the first game at Bronco Ballpark for the team, before they hit the road again on Friday and travel to Shoemaker.
