The Lake Belton Bronco pitching staff threw a combined no-hitter against the Waco Lions at Waco ISD Veterans Stadium on Tuesday night. The quartet of Matt Stanford, Brandon Holley, Tate Lisenbe and Clint Beck combined for 10 strikeouts in the 18-0 win. With the win the Broncos improved to 3-0 in District 22-5A play, while the Lions fell to 0-3. Lake struck quickly in the game, scoring 8 runs in the first inning. The Bronco offense would score in every single inning of the contest. The series will resume on Friday night at Bronco Ballpark at 7 p.m. Prior to the game the Bronco Seniors will be honored in the annual senior night ceremony.
