The Lake Belton Varsity Silver Golf Team brought home the second place finish at the B.I.S.D. Invitational Golf Tournament held at Stonetree Golf Course in Killeen. The teams two day total of 597 is our lowest of the year. Conditions were windy and wet, with Lift, Clean, and Place rules the order of the day. Sophomore Miles Parker Led the way by winning the tournament with a two day total of 139 (which puts him in second place in the Bronco record book by only one stroke!). That 139 included a first day total of 3 under 69 and featured a chip in eagle on the 9th hole. Miles was followed by sophomore Jackson Null who carded a two day total of 141, which was good for a third place finish. Jackson’s front nine on the second day included five birdies, even though he came back to the field a little his score of one under par 70 was outstanding! Senior James Bond was third on the team posting excellent scores of 74 and 76 for the two day event. James' score included making birdie on the 415 yard par four seventh hole on the first day of the tournament. James crushed his driver to get within 70 yards of the green. He then flushed a wedge to 6ft and drained the putt! Senior Mason Euer drove the ball extremely well and posted great scores of 84 on both days. Sophomore Jack Brown also turned in identical 84s for both days to close out with a team score of 598 for the tournament. The boys are excited to head back to Stonetree for their district tournament on March 27th and 28th.
