RED TEAM WRAPS UP THEIR SEASON WITH A 5TH PLACE FINISH AT DISTRICT

Red Team Wraps Up Their Season with a 5th Place Finish at District

Lady Bronco Red Team wrapped up their season on Tuesday, after competing in the District 22-5A tournament.
For most of the Red Team this was their year playing golf, which means it was their first district tournament and their first two day tournament.
On day one, Lady Bronco Red shot a 534. They were led by Senior Emily Delgado with a 125. She had two bogeys on the day.
Freshman Suellen Tillis had the second lowest score and had two bogeys, followed by Senior Da Hae Keum. Keum had two bogeys.
Junior Lexie Holler and Freshman Lillie Mikes finished out the scoring for the Red Team on day one. Holler had the most pars for any of the Red Team on day one with two.
On day two, Lady Bronco Red showed a lot of grit and determination. Every member of the team improved upon their score from the first day and the team dropped 23 stokes.
Delgado again led the way for the Red Team, improving three strokes. She parred her final hole as a Lady Bronco Golfer.
Tillis had one bogey and improved five strokes.
Holler had the biggest improvement on the second day shaving 11 strokes off her first day. She had one par and one bogey on the day.
Keum was able to drop four with one bogey and Mikes had the second biggest improvement, taking off ten strokes and had one bogey.
Their total for day two was 511. They shot a two day total of 1045 and finished fifth overall.
There were also two medalists that played. Jackie Couture played on the first day and Hannah Clawson played on the second day.
With the conclusion of the district tournament, the Red Team's season comes to an end, but they learned valuable skills and information. Many are planning on playing in summer tournaments and taking lessons to improve upon their game.
