The Lake Belton Broncos stepped out of district play to welcome the 7th ranked team in Class 5A, the Rouse Raiders, to Bronco Ballpark. The Broncos used clutch hitting, a couple of big defensive plays and a bevy of pitchers to defeat Rouse 9-3. With the win the Broncos improved to 22-4 on the season. Lake got 2 RBI apiece from Peyton Flanagan, Brandon Bell and Clint Beck. 5 Bronco pitchers along with a good Bronco defense navigated through a tough Rouse line up on a windy Saturday afternoon. The Broncos allowed 10 hits on the day, but only allowed 3 earned runs and struck out 8.
