The Lake Belton Baseball team finished regular season play by hosting the Midway Panthers in a playoff warm up game. The Panthers struck in the first two innings, scoring 1 in the first followed by a 6 run outburst in the 2nd. Lake was able to steady things after that, but the bats were unable to respond, finishing with only 1 hit in the 7-0 loss. The Broncos fell to 26-5 on the year as they turn their sights to the 1st round playoff series against the Magnolia West Mustangs. The Broncos and Mustangs will play a three game series that will open Thursday night in Salado at 7 p.m. Game two will take place at Waller High School before wrapping up with Game 3 at The Yards of Cameron.
