Sophomore Kendrick Jones Jr had a day, earning a gold medal in the long jump with a 23’0” in wet and slippery conditions. On his final attempt he barely scratched what would’ve been a leap of 24’6”. Later that evening Jones would defend his 200 meter dash title once again, running away from the rest of the field with a time of 20.83. Jones shared a 3 way tie for Most Valuable Athlete of the meet, scoring 20 points.
The young Broncos program finished as District Runner-Up, 5th overall at Area, 8th overall at Regionals, and 8th overall in the State Meet. We look forward to having more representation and competitors this time around next season. #HorsePower
