The Freshmen Red Lady Broncos showcased their skills over the weekend, finishing strong with a 3rd place finish in the highly competitive Gold Bracket at the BISD Sub-Varsity Tournament. The team dominated the early rounds, winning straight sets against Temple, Marble Falls, and Belton, demonstrating their growing cohesion and talent on the court.

In the semifinal match against Salado, the Broncos fought hard but ultimately fell in both sets, securing their spot as the third-place team.

Rylie Detweiler and Sophia Horner were unstoppable at the net, delivering powerful swings that kept the offense rolling. On the defensive end, Chanel Johnson and Harloe Blair were crucial to the team’s success, racking up numerous digs that stifled opponents’ attacks and kept rallies alive.

Despite the tough loss in the semifinals, the Lady Broncos continue to show great improvement with every match. The team now looks ahead as they prepare to face A&M Consolidated in College Station tomorrow. Go Broncos!
