The Lake Belton Cross Country Team traveled to the HOT Soccer Complex to compete in the Waco Invitational today. Several Broncos medaled by finishing in the the top 15 runners in their race. Sophomore Jenna Benedick finished first for Lake Belton with an 8th place finish. Freshman Lucy Loa finished close behind with a 9th place finish. Rounding out the medalists in the girls' varsity race was freshman Elizabeth Sandlin who finished in 15th place. In the boys' varsity race, senior Neil Dayawansa ran an impressive race with a 14th place finish. Junior Isabela Meza Romero claimed 4th place in the girls' JV race, while freshman London Lynn took 11th place. Sophomores Roman Manriquez and Shua Clark finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the boys' JV race. Lake Belton will host the Bronco Invitational next Thursday at Crossroads Park.
