In a dramatic turn of events, the Freshman Red football team stormed back to beat Rouse 24-13 after trailing for most of the game. For three quarters, it seemed as though Rouse had the game under control, but a relentless fourth-quarter surge by the Red team sealed their victory.

Rouse came out strong, dominating both sides of the ball early. Their defense stifled the Red team's offense, while their own offense managed to put 13 points on the board by halftime. The Red team struggled to find a rhythm, unable to sustain drives and facing mounting pressure from the Rouse defense. By the end of the third quarter, the Red team still found themselves behind, unable to answer the challenge.

But in the fourth quarter, everything changed.

A key turning point came when the Red team's offense scored a 30 yard touchdown from Brooks Johnson to Riley Kristinek which made the game 13-13. However, a personal foul penalty forced to Broncos to attempt a 25 yard extra point that bounced off the cross bar and in by Diego Garcia shifting the momentum making it 14-13. The offense quickly capitalized again, marching down the field after the defenses crucial stop. That moment seemed to energize the Red team, and from there, they never looked back.

With the game on the line, the Red team's offense found its groove, stringing together multiple explosive plays which led to a 45 yard touchdown run by brooks Johnson making it 21-13. Meanwhile, the defense held strong yet again, shutting down Rouse’s attempts to regain control.

Late in the game, the Red team iced their victory with a final field goal by Diego Garcia extending their lead to 24-13 and capping off a stunning comeback.

The victory moves the Freshman Red team to 4-0 on the season but more importantly, 1-0 in district.
