The Lake Belton Cross Country Team competed at the Pro-Fit Invitational yesterday at Heritage Park. The varsity girls ran well with many of the girls clocking PR's. Freshman Teagan Pettijohn led the Broncos with a 10th place finish. Lucy Loa and Jenna Benedick placed 18th and 25th respectively. The varsity boys were led by senior Neil Dayawansa who crossed the line in 34th place. Joshua Clark was close behind with a 37th place finish. Third for the Broncos was Mario Padmanabhan who placed 54th overall. Freshman Catalina Esquivel led the girls' JV team, placing 36th overall followed by Harper Holt and Paisley Gallion. Sophomore Josiah Briggs placed 6th in the boys' JV race. Tyler Adkins Beltran and Robert Thomas crossed the line close behind with 13th and 17th place finishes overall. The Broncos will compete at the district meet next Thursday at the HOT Soccer Complex in Waco. Way to go, Broncos!
