The Varsity Silver golf team took fifth place honors at the Bobby Peschel Memorial Tournament held at Mill Creek in Salado. This was a long 27 hole tournament, with a break after the first 18 and a return to play. The boys were led by junior Jackson Null who turned in an awesome one over par 72 on his first 18 and a great 38 on his last nine. Jackson’s combined score of 110 was good enough to put him into a tie for 5th place. Jackson was followed by junior Miles Parker who turned in a very nice 80 on the challenging Mill Creek course. Miles also scored a 38 on his final nine. Senior Nick Brooks was third on the team after posting an 87 on his first time around the course and a 41 on his second time through Creek 2. Fourth on the team, sophomore Austin Watson posted a combined score of 134. Rounding out the team, junior Jack Brown, had a total 27 hole score of 136. The boys are excited to tee it up again on October 15th at Delaware Spring Golf Course in Burnet.
