Lake Belton Girls Golf Teams hosted their own tournament on Thursday, October 10 at Sammons Golf Course. The Silver Team, consisting of Senior Kat Moore, Junior Suellen Tillis, and Sophomores Lyliana Gonzalez, Carly Marshall, and Lillie Mikes played great rounds at their home course and came away with a second place finish!
The team shot a very good 367, just two strokes behind the winners, Salado. There were many great personal victories for the members of the team as well.
Carly Marshall led the way for the Lady Bronco Silver Team, shooting a one under par, 71. She had 11 pars and four birdies. She finished 1st place individually by a whopping 12 strokes!
Senior Kat Moore had her best day on the golf course in her high school career by shooting an 88. Her previous low round was a 92 at Stonetree Golf Club in the Spring of 2024. Moore finished 3rd individually.
With the third best score for the Lady Bronco Silver Team, Lyliana Gonzalez finished 5th individually. Gonzalez shot a 91, which was her personal best. Her previous low round was a 99 at last year's district tournament at Stonetree. She had six pars on the day!
Suellen Tillis also continued to see improvement posting another low round of her career. She shot 117, which was one stroke better than her score last tournament at Stonetree.
Lady Bronco Silver Team has one more tournament on their fall tournament schedule. They will be playing in the Par 3 Tournament at Stonetree on October 30. The Red Team will be joining them.
They are making great improvements and have much promise to do great things in the spring!
