The atmosphere was electric last night as the the Lady Broncos traveled to Belton High for a big district match up. The Lady Broncos would drop the first set of the match as they struggled to find any offensive or defensive rhythm. The Lady Broncos took the second set in a back and forth match, as they fought for every single point. In the third set, the Lady Broncos took an early lead and they never looked back.
On the offensive attack, Betsy Navarro and Kaylieana Dickey-Garcia would have terrific nights. Betsy Navarro with nine kills and Kaylieana Dickey-Garcia with eight kills. Olivia Maldonado found a way to continuously provide perfect sets to the Bronco attackers. Olivia Maldonado and Kaylieana Dickey-Garcia also combined for over ten aces.
On the defensive attack, Morgan Campbell dominated the nets with multiple blocks. Halyee Kasner had a season high in digs with twenty four. Kenna Morrison and Olivia Maldonado also contributed on the defensive attack, as they both ended up with double digits in digs.
The Lady Broncos continue to show their resiliency and they continue to find ways to win big games. The Lady Broncos are now 5-1 in district play and 31-2 on the season. The Lady Broncos are set to play again this Friday at home against a tough Ellison Team on Middle School and Pink Out Night!
