The Lake Belton Girls Basketball teams hit the court for their second and final scrimmage of the season on Tuesday, October 29 at Temple High School. Taking on two formidable opponents, the girls faced off against a skilled Marble Falls squad and a quick, athletic Temple High team. All three levels—Varsity, JV, and Freshmen—had a chance to showcase their talent and set the stage for an exciting season.

The Varsity team displayed a strong defensive effort against both Marble Falls and Temple, holding their own with impressive communication and court awareness. Marble Falls’ precision and teamwork challenged the Broncos, giving them a taste of the competitive season ahead. Against Temple’s quick pace, Lake Belton Varsity players adjusted their tempo and played hard to the end of the game. This coaching staff is eager to see how they build on these early experiences.

The JV and Freshmen teams brought energy and enthusiasm to their games, with each squad showing potential across the board. The JV’s hustle and ball movement highlighted their drive, while the Freshmen team’s scrappiness and determination foreshadowed a promising future. Players at all levels showed they’re ready to compete, learn, and grow together.

The team will return to action on November 1 for their season opener against Shoemaker High School at Shoemaker. The action kicks off with the Freshmen at 5:00 pm, followed by JV at 5:30 pm, and Varsity at 7:00 pm. Come out to support Lake Belton Girls Basketball as they set their sights on a successful season!
