From Coach Waits

We are so excited to celebrate Hanna Ward today in her accomplishment to play volleyball at the next level at Temple College! Hanna is an extremely disciplined libero with a keen ability to read the ball. She lettered all 4 years and during this time, she was a part of 4 playoff appearances, an Area Championship, a Bi-District Championship, and two district championships.

In Hanna’s career at Lake, she accumulated 1,663 digs, which is a school record for career digs. She also beat her own school record for digs in a season last night in the regional semifinal match. This new record is 521 digs in a season. This year she also averaged a 2.25 serve receive percentage, a phenomenal rating to hold for 46 games this year. Hanna earned District Honorable Mention her freshman season, and First Team All-District her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. She has earned Academic All-District all four years. In addition, Hanna received the Defensive Player of the Year award for Lake Belton Volleyball each season for the last three years.


Hanna’s value as a Bronco Volleyball player is far beyond just the court. She loves her teammates deeply, brings joy to each day, and never wavered in her work ethic. This is just the beginning of all that she will continue to do! We are so blessed and grateful to have you in the Bronco family, and now we can’t wait to cheer you on in your continued greatness!
