The Lady Broncos JV basketball team showcased their skill, teamwork, and resilience at the Georgetown Sub-Varsity Tournament, finishing with an impressive 3-1 record.
The tournament kicked off with a solid win against East View High School, with the Broncos securing a 37-32 victory. Ja’niah led the charge with 11 points, while Eowyn contributed 9 points in the effort.
Later on Thursday, the Lady Broncos faced Granger and dominated the game, securing a decisive 45-12 win. Keyalah scored a game-high 12 points, with Zoey adding 10 points to seal the victory.
Saturday's first game of the day brought a tough challenge against Vista Ridge. In a hard-fought and highly energetic matchup, the Lady Broncos fell just short, losing 33-39. Despite the result, the entire team displayed relentless effort and determination, keeping the game close throughout.
The Lady Broncos ended the tournament on a high note with a commanding 63-9 win over Manor High. The scoring was a team effort, led by Ansley Dwyer with 14 points, while Keyalah, Aiyanna, and Ja’naiyah each added 10 points. Jade and Cheyann contributed 6 points each, rounding out a stellar team performance.
