On November 22, the Lake Belton Lady Broncos faced a formidable challenge against the Harker Heights Lady Knights. Despite a determined effort, the Lady Broncos fell 61–33, with the Lady Knights dominating each quarter.
Harker Heights established control early, outscoring Lake Belton 14–10 in the first quarter. The Lady Broncos struggled to find their rhythm offensively, adding only seven points in the second quarter, compared to Harker Heights' impressive 20. While Lake Belton showed flashes of resilience, particularly in the third quarter with nine points, Harker Heights' defense and scoring consistency were too strong.
Standout Performances
Layla King led the Lady Broncos with nine points, shooting 100% from the free-throw line (6-for-6). Alexa King contributed four points and showed hustle with three rebounds.
Looking Ahead
The Lady Broncos are eager to bounce back as they return to their home court on November 25, taking on Burnet High School at noon in the Bronco Gymnasium. With an opportunity to regroup and adjust their strategies, the team is focused on sharpening their play and energizing their home crowd.
Let’s fill the Bronco Gymnasium and cheer on our Lady Broncos as they strive for victory!
