The Lake Belton High School freshman red girls basketball team delivered a commanding performance Tuesday night, defeating Killeen 52-5 in a game that showcased their offensive firepower and defensive tenacity.

From the opening tip-off, the Broncos set the tone with relentless energy on both ends of the court. Leading the charge was Simone Jefferson, who dazzled with a game-high 23 points. Jefferson’s scoring came in a variety of ways, including fast-break finishes, precision jump shots, and strong drives to the basket.

Joining Jefferson in the scoring spotlight was Isalei Simpson, who contributed 14 points. Simpson’s consistent inside presence and knack for finding open lanes kept Killeen’s defense on its heels throughout the game.

The Broncos' defense was equally impressive, limiting Killeen to just five points. Their aggressive press and quick rotations forced turnovers that translated into scoring opportunities, building a sizable lead early and never looking back.
