The Lake Belton Swim Team showcased resilience and talent during the North Dallas TISCA 2024 meet, held December 13-14. Competing against a strong field of swimmers, the team brought their energy and determination to the pool, setting many personal bests and breaking barriers in several events. Despite fierce competition, the Broncos held their own, with many swimmers achieving remarkable results that highlighted their dedication and hard work.
Lake Belton’s Elizabeth Simeroth delivered standout performances in the Freestyle sprints, finishing 6th in the Girls 50-Yard Freestyle with a time of 26.66 and 8th in the 100-Yard Freestyle, clocking 1:00.21 in the finals. On the boys' side, Kaleb Vazquez made his mark in the Boys 200-Yard Individual Medley, securing a strong 14th place in the B finals with a time of 2:21.91. The relays were another area of pride for the team, with the boys’ (Jacob Gerakos, Samuel Stevens, Kaleb Vazquez, and Eli Firkins) and girls’ (Bailee Baker, Isabella Clarke, Elizabeth Simeroth, and Lillian Paulk) squads putting up valiant efforts and improving their times against challenging opponents.
Eli Firkins and Jacob Gerakos delivered strong performances in the Boys 100-Yard Backstroke at the North Dallas TISCA meet. Eli swam a fantastic finals race, 8th overall with a time of 1:00.87 (a new personal best), while Jacob showcased his consistency and determination, placing 15th with a time of 1:06.72. Both swimmers demonstrated excellent technique and competitiveness in this challenging event, contributing valuable points to Lake Belton’s overall performance. Their efforts reflect the Broncos’ dedication to excelling across a variety of strokes and distances.
A special shoutout goes to all Lake Belton swimmers who represented the team with grit and determination. Their efforts throughout the meet reflect the strength of their training and the support of their coaches and teammates.
