The Lake Belton JV Lady Broncos faced a tough challenge on Tuesday, falling to the Chaparral Bobcats 51-42. The game began with the Broncos struggling to find their rhythm, as the Bobcats quickly jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first half of the opening quarter. Despite the slow start, the Broncos fought back and ended the first quarter trailing 14-7.

In the second quarter, the Broncos began to show signs of life offensively, narrowing the deficit to 26-19 by halftime. Their momentum carried into the third quarter, where they made a strong push and brought the score to a close 37-35, putting pressure on the Bobcats.

However, the Broncos' momentum faltered in the fourth quarter as foul trouble and a standout performance by Chaparral’s #2 proved too much to overcome. Despite their efforts, the game concluded with a final score of 51-42 in favor of the Bobcats.

The Broncos had standout performances from key players. Cheyanne Oglesby led the team with 13 points, J'Niyah Ford added 8 points, and Keyalah Bradley contributed 7 points. These efforts kept the Broncos competitive throughout the game.

The team will regroup and look to bounce back this Friday as they travel to Waco University for the final game of the first half of district play. Let’s go, Broncos!
