This is the week we have been working for all season. The district tournaments start on Monday with JV at Belton High and Varsity will compete at Burleson High School on Wednesday.
JV wrestling will weigh in at 8 am at Belton High School, and wrestling will begin around 9 am. Parents, please use the ticket link below to purchase a ticket. At the conclusion of the tournament, all athletes will return to school and turn in equipment. The following items must be returned on Monday:
Singlet
Long Sleeve Top
Red Fight Shorts
Head Gear
Backpack(s)
Sweat Top
Sweat Pants
Please make sure all of these items are turned in Monday. Athletes may keep their workout shirt and shorts for this week.
Varsity wrestlers will travel to Burleson on Tuesday. You will be dismissed for C lunch, then a short workout before we depart school. Varsity weigh ins will start at 9:30 on Wednesday and wrestling should begin by 11 am. Travel Itinerary and ticket link will be post in a separate post.
The top for placers at Varsity district will qualify for the Regional Tournament and the 5th place finisher will be the alternate, in Addison on Feb. 7th and 8th. The district tournament uses a wrestle back system to determine the true top 4 placers, where if the fifth place wrestler has not competed against the 4th place finisher, there will be an extra match to determine the true 4th place finisher. Anyone that places in the top 5 will travel to the Regional Tournament.
Any JV wrestler or Varsity wrestler that does not qualify can still practice with the team the remainder of the season.
Varsity wrestlers and anyone else still needing to turn in equipment will do so on Thursday and Friday after school.
