The girls' powerlifting team showcased their strength and determination in two recent competitions, bringing home impressive team finishes and individual medals.
At the Cameron Powerlifting Meet, the team delivered a solid performance, finishing in 3rd place overall. Several lifters earned individual medals for their outstanding efforts:
Avery Park – 1st place in her weight class
Lorelai Scallorn – 2nd place in her weight class
Analicia Diaz – 3rd place in her weight class
Sidney Rosenthal – 3rd place in her weight class
Paisley Paulson – 4th place in her weight class
Rylee Davi – 4th place in her weight class
Naibe Valenzuela – 4th place in her weight class
The team carried their momentum into the Andrew Billings Invitational in Waco on Saturday, where they dominated the competition, securing a first-place finish against 11 other schools. The lifters once again put on a stellar performance, with multiple medal winners:
Catalina Esquivel – 1st place in her weight class
Scarlytt Cotham – 1st place in her weight class
Jaya Lisenbe – 2nd place in her weight class
Macie Solis – 2nd place in her weight class
Moriah Rydberg – 2nd place in her weight class
Tatum Vaughn – 2nd place in her weight class
Aleyna Castor – 2nd place in her weight class
Abby Rydberg – 3rd place in her weight class
Emma Scholz – 4th place in her weight class
Jazzell Jenkins – 5th place in her weight class
With two strong performances behind them, the team looks ahead to their next competition on Thursday, February 6th, in Academy. They’ll be aiming to continue their impressive season and build on their recent success.
